Kuala Lumpur, 18 February 2011– The Malaysian Open will be celebrating its 50th edition this year. In conjunction with this and the upcoming Maybank Malaysian Open scheduled from the 14-17 April, event organisers today kicked-off a series of road shows beginning at The Curve from the 18-20 February that will allow participants to stand a chance to win a Hyundai Sonata car.
Themed “It’s All About The Drive”, this road-show offers participants a chance to win a 4-day Complimentary Season Ticket to the premier Maybank Malaysian Open 2011 from the 14 to 17 April 2011 at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC). In addition, winning participants will also stand the chance to win a brand new Hyundai Sonata on the final day of the Maybank Malaysian Open!
This road-show is one of three planned in the lead up to the nation’s premier golf tournament. Subsequent road shows are scheduled to take place on 23-27 March at Mid Valley and on 30 March – 4 April at One Utama shopping centre’s respectively.
To participate in the “It’s All About The Drive” contest, simply visit the road-show at The Curve and sink a putt to win a 4-day Complimentary Season Ticket to the Maybank Malaysian Open 2011. Ticket holder must attend all four days of the tournament and collect four stamps daily. On the fourth day, the qualified ticket holder must sink all three putts consecutively in order to win the car. This is one of the many activities planned for the upcoming Maybank Malaysia Open 2011!
A star-studded field is expected at the 50th edition of the Maybank Malaysian Open, with the Malaysian professionals competing with some of the world’s best players for the championship title. With a USD 2.5 million prize purse up on offer, spectators can expect an exciting tournament this April.
